दृष्टिहीन, नेत्रहीन व्यक्तींना गोळ्या औषधे कळण्यासाठी नेहमी इतरांवरच अवलंबून राहावं लागतं, म्हणून प्रत्येक औषधांसाठी ब्रेललिपीत मराठी आणि इंग्रजी भाषेतून त्या संदर्भात सर्व तपशील असलेली पाकिटे बनवण्यात आली.

खरतर या निर्मितीत मला अरविंद पुरंदरे आजोबांचीही मोलाची मदत झाली आणि ही औषधांची सगळी पाकिटे टाकाऊ प्लास्टिकपासून तयार करण्यात आली.

या ब्रेल पाकिटांमुळे नेत्रहीन आणि दृष्टिहीन लोकांना औषधे ओळखता येतील आणि आरोग्याचे अपघात टळतील नक्कीच त्यांचा आत्मविश्वास वाढेल आणि त्यांना सुरक्षित वाटेल..

युरोप, दुबई मध्ये ब्रेल मधील पाकीटं कागदी तयार करण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यात आला परंतु तो अयशस्वी ठरला कारण त्याची ब्रेलमधील अक्षरं पुसट होऊन दिसेनाशी होत होती… गेल्या अनेक दिवसांपासुन केलेल्या या कामामुळे नक्कीच जगात हा प्रयोग होईल आणि दिव्यागांना त्याचा नक्की उपयोग होईल…

Have come up with an innovative solution that would enable visually impaired and challenge people to:
1. Consume medicines without anybody’s help
2. Avoid any unforseen events related to wrong consumption of medicines
Idea here is to, imprint details of medicine on the medicine envelope, with recycled plastic material, that is easily understood by visually challenged set of people. A similar idea was tried in Western country but it could lift up owing to short lived nature of the Braille impressions on paper. Our idea, on the other hand relies on use of recycled plastic, that provides long lasting Braille impressions on envelope while helping reuse the wasted plastic content, at the same time!

One sees with eyes, the other feels with hands.”
